One of the recent and fast-increasing risks, especially to the teen population of our country is date rape. What begins with a casual friendship ends up in a ghastly and heinous incident of rape or non-consensual sexual assault.
Earlier, most of the date rape cases were limited to bigger cities and the metros. However, day by day this trend is changing. With growing awareness, impact of social media and the misunderstood urge to prove themselves at par with metropolitan crowd, youth from the smaller towns are also becoming involved in this crime. However, this crime is not limited to only teenagers. Several cases of adults as victims of date rape prove that everyone is at risk.
